This compact surge protector is better than our previous one, is certified by ETL, and is reasonably priced. However, once loaded with big plugs, it’s heavy hanging in a wall outlet. We recently upgraded to this surge protector in part due to the higher joules rating and capacity (1,800). A surge protector joule rating indicates how much energy it can absorb before it fails. (Who knew that all surge protectors are essentially disposable? But they are.) Evidently, to protect items like cell phones, basic laptops, printers, routers, and copiers, it’s recommended to use a surge protector with a joules rating between 1,000 and 2,000. A joule is a unit of measurement of energy released over time. Joules are lost by each surge and power strike and the number of original joules will decrease over time. When the joules have been depleted, a surge protector will no longer protect connected devices and no longer absorb energy from surges and power strikes. To continue to protect devices, a replacement surge protector would be needed. Depending on how many power surges occur, generally it’s recommended to replace surge protectors every three years or so. Or obviously replace sooner if there are any signs of damage or malfunction.BTW: Nowadays, many surge protectors have a LED light to indicate surge protection is active and protecting connected electronics. However, the indicator light doesn’t show how many joules are left. When the joules are totally depleted, the surge protection indicator light goes out. That means the surge protector absorbed the maximum energy it is capable of and can no longer protect electronics from surges. Then it’s ime to replace the surge protector. (See what I mean about they’re all disposable?)A joule is a unit of measurement of energy released over time. A surge protector joule rating indicates how much energy it can absorb before it fails

I live in a tiny house where outlets are sometimes placed in awkward places not particularly where needed. These outlet extenders are not only great, but built in surge protectors too! I can plug in my USB A or C to charge my phone, e-reader, lamps, etc. I have one in each room to accomodate my electrical and charging needs.

Bought this on Prime Day 2023 and love it. Wish I had bought more! I use it to add more outlets for our TV stand and speaker hookup. Works great and have had 0 problems with it. Been through a power outage too and still does what it’s supposed to. Would definitely recommend!

I like the product. got 2 of them even, thinking ahead. Decided we needed one for the bathroom as my new electric toothbrush has a USB charging cord. We also have a small plug-in photocell nightlight and then when you add a hairdryer, charging stations etc., it comes in real handy. I noticed however that although I do not require that one to swivel horizontally, I did test that out, and when I plugged in a cord, the thing started to fall back into the vertical position, so it does not really click into place, so it is something to consider.

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this but I really do. It works great. I have plugged it into various spots including cords and power strips. It is really handy for moving around with you so you can charge your phone or other device in work or workbench areas. Nice plug.

rs multiple ways of adjusting the position of the power strip. It also allows for multiple devices such as those bulky transformers to be plugged in and not be covering another plug. As they have several places to plug into all the way around (on 3 sides). It also includes 2 usb ports and 1 usb c port for convenience.

The only thing that would make it better would be a couple more hook-ups for the phone. Other than that it is perfect for travel. Fits nicely into suitcase, about 6 inches long so does not take up much room. I will be buying another one for my husband.

Was actually shocked it had 6 outlets when it came… ???????? I didn’t fully read description and thought it had 4 by the pictures. So extra bonus for me! The swivel works just right, USB ports and Type-C on it’s own charges my phone fast. Great little product
