It’s day four of using the traps, and now I’m only seeing an occasional fruit fly around. I drew more flies faster after I put them under and near light sources. The first day they were slow to come, so on the second day I moved two to my window ledge and the other two on the stovetop under the rangehood light. After that they caught a lot more in a shorter period of time. Setting them up is easy, but you need to get that nozzle down in the trap. I accidentally dripped some on the outside of one trap, and that one didn’t catch as many as the others. Also, it would be helpful if there weren’t a label around the middle of the bottle so you could easily see how much half of the bottle is when filling the traps.

I am going to copy word for word someone else’s review here because I had exactly the same experience and thoughts. So thank you to that original writer. This product worked great!. We had a large infestation all over our home. We bought 6 traps and put them out on the kitchen counter. Overnight several of the traps were filled with flies. We did notice that some flies crawled in and out of the traps so it did not get them all but the majority are gone. These did only last for about 3 days when I noticed the flies were starting to ignore them so I bought apple cide vinegar from the store and refilled them with that. The reason for my 4 star instead of 5 is that they do not sell the solution separately. I feel the traps should be reused if needed, why waste especially when they are made from plastic?

We just moved into our home and for some reason we had gnats in every room. I just about everything that I could without purchasing anything but nothing was working. So I bought these. They are in a cute container that makes the appearance so much better. You can still smell the apple cider vinegar but it isn’t too strong. I’ve had the product for only a week and I only have 2 traps out. I’ve trapped about 5 gnats so far. I’m excited to see if I can get rid of them completely!

This product worked great!. We had a large infestation all over our home. We bought 12 traps and put them out in our bathrooms on our Window sills and on the kitchen counter. Overnight several of the traps were filled with flies. We did notice that some flies crawled in and out of the traps so it did not get them all but the majority are gone. These did only last for about 3 days when I noticed the flies were starting to ignore them so I bought apple cide vinegar from the store and refilled them with that and a little dish soap to make my own solution. The reason for my 4 star instead of 5 is that they do not sell the solution separately. I feel the traps should be reused if needed, why waste especially when they are made from plastict?

When you squirt the bait into the trap make sure you don’t get any on the outside of the trap. I saw some reviews saying the fruit flies never went in the trap- well that’s why. The bait applicator is designed so you can squirt the bait directly into the trap without spilling any. Take it slow. The traps started working within 30 minutes and within a day 90% of our fruit fly problem was resolved. I mixed isopropyl alcohol with a small amount of water in a cheap little squirt bottle and sprayed it on the stragglers. It kills them immediately. It also seemed to help if the traps were next to a light source, like a lamp. I guess I could pull them apart, dump them and refill with apple cider vinegar but for the price I would buy more before spilling the gross trappings everywhere.

We get gnats every year, and I’ve tried all the homemade traps—could never get it right. This year they started early (long story short, I realized something sugary left behind in the garage that attracted them) and were everywhere. Finally decided to just search Amazon, and have these a try. I put them out, and immediately started noticing gnats landing on the traps—I’m talking after being out for 5 minutes. A few minutes later, I checked again and started seeing a few floating in the solution. By the next morning, the gnats were gone. This was about a month ago (mid July, it’s now August 26), and every now and then I’ll see one errant gnat, but that’s it. This has been a total game changer. Although it says the solution lasts 45 days, and now is usually the time they start getting really bad during normal years, so maybe I should get more. But I highly recommend this product.

No more fruit fly party in my kitchen, that’s for sure! These traps helped got the job done. The trap is bright red, so it stands out a bit, but hey, when it comes to getting rid of those flies, I’m willing to overlook the appearance. However, I do make sure to keep it in a safe spot away from my cat. The bonus is that it comes in a pack of 4 traps so you can cover multiple rooms. If you want a practical solution to tackle those fruit fly annoyances, this is a good option. I did have to pair it with a plugin sticky trap to get them all, so these didn’t fix my problem entirely. Worth giving them a shot for the price and say goodbye to those buzzing troublemakers!Last note, they do stink a little like apple cider vinegar, but I think that’s the whole reason they work. Just be prepared for that.

Great product! After I used the included fly trap liquid, I’ve kept using the containers with a combo of dish soap and apple cider vinegar and it works great. However, I wish the tops were easy twist offs. Instead you have to squeeze the plastic and pull them off which is fine when the container is empty but can be really disgusting if the container is full of dead fruit flies in liquid and it spills everywhere. Love that it works and that it has a little window though. I’ve bought 4.

Left for vacation with food in the trash can. Oops! Came back to a swarm of the little suckers. Ordered the traps, next day delivery. Put them out in the kitchen and went into my office to work. Cam down in an hour and the top of the traps were covered, they had not gone into the trap. An hour later, they were not visible, peeked inside and there they were dead. I wish it was easier to see inside the trap. My wife cannot do so easily, but I can.

Im super impressed with this. We unfortunately had a big problem with fruit flies in our kitchen. I think from bananas. We had tons and I tried the vinegar and soap trick, it got a couple but wasnt really helping. I went online and found this one to be recommended so tried it out. In a matter of 2 days not a single fruit fly was in my kitchen! I was really impressed. I placed the traps where the largest concentration of fruit flies were and left it there without touching it. I noticed after day 1 that they ALL congregated around the outside and werent going in the holes. I didnt touch it, and overnight I checked again and most had made their way to their demise inside. A little bit longer and they all went in after their friends. We had company over and nobody even noticed that these were bug traps. They really look like little decorations. Highly recommended to get rid of fruit flies, I even bought some for my Aunt who had been complaining about them.
