There are actually instructions that state you’re supposed to run them for a few minutes in the rain or using the wiper fluid once you install them. I did that, but found the wipers left a bad strip of residue at the top of their motion.I had to clean the windshield several times and finally wiped the blades thoroughly in order to get them to stop leaving the mark.They work fantastic, though, so just be aware of the little bit of work you have to put in during install.

I will admit the installing of the product it was a bit hard, I did not like that I have to take it apart to take out a blue piece to then just put it back together again, seems like a waste of plastic in my opinion there was no point and having the blue part in it to begin with. However I will state that when using this for the first time it does leave behind a film residue I believe is something to help with the water wicking off the windshield better, this by far is the best windshield wiper I’ve ever used, I will suggest the first time installing to get the wipers nice and wet and have them rub back and forth on your window multiple times eventually the film turns clear and disappears, which leads me to believe that it’s the Rain-X formula that helps wick off the water, The only reason I say that is because I saw a white film and then it eventually disappeared and now every time it rains the water literally slips off my windshield as if it was nothing. And I have an applied anything other than these blades.

And honestly, the old ones were still in decent shape, I just realized that they looked a bit worn while washing the car. Otherwise, I had not noticed a difference in their performance. But the new ones are fantastic! The RainX repelling film is outstanding.

I saw some reviews down below that stated that the instructions were hard to follow. I’m unsure if rain-x either updated their packaging to include new instructions or people just didn’t notice that instructions came with the wipers.I found the installation to be very simple and easy. As a woman with no experience with cars, it took me only about three minutes in total for both wipers, very beginner friendly!Wipers work perfectly, be sure to remove the plastic guard after installation!

Honest review, genuine purchase
Purchased to replace the Halfords X silicone blade on my Focus MK3 ST. Previously I used PIAA, but due to ease.of getting them and the fact I have a part time (return from retirement boredom) job at Halfords I got the Halfords X blades. The passenger balge was fine from there get go but for what ever reason the driver side gave very poor wiping results.The Rain X is much better. The fitting clip system took a few minutes to work out and I now fit a wide range of wipes as part ofy job. But once I worked out hot the clip worked fitting was easy.Although silicone wipers are much more expensive the difference they make to driving in the rain they are worth every penny. Especially if,.as I you live in a country where it rarely stops raining.
