The four packet of fire blankets arrived quickly. They have great craftsmanship and quality. I purchased them for my two college students who live in apartments with other students. I don’t trust the apartment fire extinguisher to work if needed. I tested taking one out of the package and it is easy to use and the image and directions on the storage pouch are easy to understand. I will be purchasing more for other family members as well as myself.

I was very impressed by the marketing for this product, and a solid and reusable layer of fire protection was very valuable in my mind (I’ve had to interact with a fire extinguisher before, and I always assumed it was a necessary evil to have to deal with for fire safety).The blanket itself is wonderful, and the re-usability with no expiration date is a huge benefit. The only trouble I had was with the storage bag the blanket is housed in. The details in the product mention that it is expected to be hung up somewhere, and to pull out the blanket, you’re to pull down firmly and quickly on two straps. When I hung the bag up and did a test pull, it immediately tore the eye-ring away from the rest of the bag.Now, I was pulling in a calm and controlled manner – not while rushing to react to an actual fire. This concerns me a bit, because if someone is running on adrenaline, trying to grab this blanket as fast as possible, they could easily tear the bag off the hook while not getting the blanket out. This could cost precious seconds while a fire continues to burn. This is disappointing, because of how well the blanket is made, the bag should be a simple process to make strong enough to handle a smooth, controlled pull, let along a frantic, erratic one. I do hope they improve this!Picture included to show my attempt to utilize duct tape to re-secure the ring.

Thankfully, I have not had to use these, but I am thankful to have them. They are packaged neatly with a hook for hanging. I hung one in the pantry and one in the garage. These are such a neat idea and will be easier to use than a fire extinguisher. And they never expire!!

As. Senior citizen and home alone fire as a constant concern. I have several fire extinguishers. How old are they? Have they expired? Do I know how too use it anymore? Can I even let it? Once is even bolted to the w all and I can’t lift the latch, in my home! The blanket takes care of all that. Pull it out the big and out it over a small fide until it’s cold. Easy enough. Of you have time you can get a blanket. If you have to escape put the blanket o Er you. ***Get out, get help and safe from any fire quickly. ***

I have not used this item and I hope I will never have to use it. I looked at the construction and it seems to fulfill all the requirements of a fire blanket. I used to be a not so much volunteer fireman in the Swiss Auxiliar Army. I bout four of them. One for the kitchen, one for the BBQ and one each for our cars. As I said I hope I will never use them.

My grill had a grease fire, since it was out of control and near my propane tank, I used a fire extinguisher. FYI, fire extinguisher agent is gritty and requires extensive cleanup. Grease fires are very dangerous, they can quickly ruin your home, grill, etc. If you cook, you need one of these! I bought extras for gifts. Great product and idea.

You can say I have peace of mind knowing they are here and could potentially help prevent serious harm to my family and damage to my house. The packaging of the blankets is excellent. You can place these in many convenient locations without a problem and without taking up much space at all. Also, the simplicity of use provides peace of mind. We had a grease fire in the oven. The blanket was large enough and snuffed out the fire. There was still some remaining grease in the pan after the event,so it was truly put out by the blanket. The black handles did melt in the process, which could potentially be a hazard in the wrong situation. Overall very satisfied and thankful!

Havent needed to use it. however, I see it is more acessible to use for the kitchen. Hang up by stove, its ready to pull out and quickly suppress flames. I know how to use it, but I think with some rehearsals, my SO will learn easily.
