Just set them up in my studio. My first LED strip lights I have owned.5 Star Aspects:I have these paired up with the Kasa color bulbs in the lamp of my room as well. Can change them from white light to blue light in a click of a button. Very nice control and easy setup if you have used Kasa products before. Really completed my studio setup, I will probably be ordering more to go fully around my room and maybe even some for other rooms (like below cabinets in kitchen or behind TV’s- that looks sick in the other reviews on here).Reasons for 4 stars vs 5 stars:My only complaint is that the wall connector splits into 2 pieces and the strips cant be joined at the ends for 1 really long strip (which I did understand before ordering, so this was not an issue but product could be improved).My other small gripe (and idk how other LED strips are) is that the bulbs are pretty bright when mounting straight on a wall since they are not directional, they are just lights. I would like to see them have a directional covering over the bulb to offer a smooth/softer lighting effect. Instead, they are kind of distracting from my computer monitors. I bought the first of the 2 16.4’ light strips about 6 weeks ago to run alongside of the stairs to assist my older dog when coming down the stairs. I didn’t have high expectations. The sticky backing on these work perfectly. No problem there. I added the KASA APP from the App Store and found these a snap to set up with the app. They are very bright and great colors. I then bought another set for under my home bar, same great experience. I use both with an Alexa smart plug. I bought the expensive HUE light strips for above my cabinets several years ago. They work well, but the sticky back wouldn’t stick, plus I had to buy a bridge device. All told, over $200.00 for the HUE setup, $36.00 for these. I highly recommend them.

We love Kasa. So when our kitchen cabinet lights went out we thought it would be a great alternative. But it was not. Even with two rows of strips the light was still way too dim. I don’t know how other people use it and how their pictures look so bright. We have another led strip in our garage (a cheap one) and that one is surer bright but the lights are twice as dense on that one. So I’m very disappointed and will be returning the product. It’d have been great to know the brightness in advance which is not mentioned anywhere.

I purchased 2 sets of these light 6 months ago. I had to replace the light under my cabinets in the kitchen which didn’t last long at all. These lights were easy to install and had well wrote instructions. I love that I can program the lights to turn on and off at certain times or the day. These lights change colors super easy annd you can program them anll to work together. I ended up buying 2 more sets of these lights and more then likely will continue to use their products.

This works seamlessly with our other TPlink Kasa devices, but the light is better for highlighting or backlighting than for using as primary lighting. I wanted to use it as reading light under a bedroom loft but the individual color leds in each lighting point are visible and not pleasant to look at even on the lowest setting. The tape is extremely sticky annd secure. The strip can’t be repositioned without damaging it. The effects are fun, but not appropriate and can be nauseating if the strip is used for direct lighting.

I had a bit of a problem at first with the app Kasa but in the end it worked great (yes, human error lol) I love how they look under the kitchen cupboards and they give me so much more light to work by! They are so long, I had to go up the one cupboard, under the valance over the kitchen sink window and down the next cupboard to get the the final area. I can’t believe I lived with such little light in there for all these years! I got the single white lights but the multi lights could be fun for a play room or rec room.

So I have an unusual use case, I’m using these to light the inside of a pair of 3d printer enclosures. I needed something I could remotely turn on and off, but also be strung so as not to cast too much shadow on the print bed. These work perfectly!The colour changing isn’t particularly useful for me but it’s a bit fun if I want to make my printers look festive, lol
