Easy to change and install. You definitely must comply with the instructions and allow several gallons of water to pass through the filter before you get to the “ooh, this is very clean, refreshing water” stage. It took me about 15 minutes of back and forth trips to the fridge, dumping the water into the sink, but once it was done, I was pleased with the results. Cool, clear water with not aftertaste.

I have been using everydrop water filter for several years now and I have to say it is one of the best filter in term of keeping the water flavorless. It does a great job at filtering out all the minerals in the water. I live in Washington State, the water is drinkable straight out of the facet but it does have a taste to it. So this filter does a great job. The only down side is that right at the 5 months mark, the water filter seems to be clogged up as the water flow reduces tremendously. At first, I thought there is something wrong with our fridge but it turns out after replacing with a new filter, the water flow returns back to normal. So for my case, I have to replace our water filter every 5 months instead of 6 as advertised.

This water filter works really well. No issues with it leaking. It was very easy to change out. Instructions were easy to follow. I try to buy more than one so I have one on hand. It seems to work great.

my daughter will not drink water from the sink and only drinks water filtered through the refrigerator, so I guess this is essential . I have not tried to go past the point where my water filter monitor turns red and I have not noticed a slower flow after that point. I have also only used one of the two recommended filters by Whirlpool, never an off brand, so I don’t really know. I can’t imagine what could be in there that costs so much. I’m wondering if tapwater is any cheaper than buying bottled water afterall?

This is the OEM filter for refrigerator’s water/ice system. We have tried the off brands, but they are all made in China and we had mixed results. This is definitely significantly more than the off-brand filters, but it lasted several months and the water tastes significantly better than tap water from the kitchen sink. Purchasing through Amazon made it a little less expensive than going through the refrigerator company or the local box stores. Because it is the OEM filter, installation was quick and easy, and the filter fit exactly as expected. After running a couple gallons through the new filter to break it in, per the filter instructions, we again had crystal clear filtered water.

Fits Models as Described
Make sure you buy the unit that fits with your model of fridge. Great OEM filter replacement. Removes all tastes from our water. Doesn’t last as long as we would like, but we do run a lot of water though it. Be sure to run the 2-3 liters through it to remove charcoal before drinking.
