Okay, so let me just kick this off by saying: I’m no tech guru. I didn’t want anything crazy complicated, just something to keep an eye on my fur-baby during my 9-to-5. Enter the black All-new Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen). Ya’ll, it’s been a game-changer.Price Point: First things first, the value is on point! I mean, I’ve seen some indoor cams with hefty price tags, and I’m like, “Do I REALLY need a camera or should I just hire a cat sitter?!” ???? But with the Ring Indoor Cam, I got all the quality without draining my wallet. Cheers to that!Privacy Cover: Alright, real talk – I was kinda iffy about having a camera indoors. I mean, what if it catches me in my PJs dancing to 80’s hits? ???? But the Ring Indoor Cam comes with this nifty privacy cover. It’s like a little curtain for your cam. So, when you’re home, just slide that bad boy on, and you’re in your personal no-spy zone.Keeping Tabs on Mr. Whiskers: As for the main reason I got it – checking in on my lonely cat while grinding away at work – it’s been brilliant. The video clarity is pretty dope, and the setup was a breeze (remember the non-tech guru part?). Plus, the peace of mind knowing my cat isn’t tearing up my new sofa or plotting world domination? Priceless!Oh, and bonus points for the sleek black design. It just kinda blends in with my decor, making it discreet and not some obnoxious eyesore.Wrap-Up: If you’re hunting for a reliable, stylish, and affordable indoor cam that respects your dance privacy and lets you keep tabs on your fur-babies (or, y’know, whatever you’re into monitoring), the Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) is where it’s at! Five stars, two thumbs up, and a high-paw from Mr. Whiskers! ????????

This camera is amazing. You need somewhere to plug it in (for power), but it’ll connect to any wireless. The picture is high def, and the motion detection is excellent (and can detect people, vs. other). You can manually close the cover if you don’t want it one, like I do with the one facing me on my desk, and then just open it up when you want it. It also, of course, seamlessly integrates with the Ring app, so you can always check out what is going on, as desired. It’s the perfect camera – I don’t know how they could make it better.

I got my indoor Ring camera for 10 bucks when bundled with my new Ring Doorbell cam. I didn’t really have a use for it until I got a new skinny pig. I mounted the camera on his cage so I could monitor his adjustment to his new home. Works great! The night vision on this cam is good and I’m happy to have another Ring camera to add to my secutiry group.

A always hear and see reviews of technology not being user friendly. This camera was the easiest off all my rings to install out of the package. I already have the ring app and it was very easy to connect to it. I like the privacy cover the most. I did not want a camera that was on and recording 24/7. You can switch the privacy cover over the lens and it verifies it’s closed with a little chime. The quality of the camera is perfect, crisp and clear, not blurry. I always look and a product and say “could I walk my grandmother through installing this over the phone?” The answer is yes, it’s that easy to install. 🙂

So, like with all the ring products when a new one comes out, they’re always better than the previous one, and this one is no exception. Set up is simple. If you have a ring account, simply open the app, add a new device, scan the QR barcode and follow the instructions on the screen as it walks you through the set up. As far as the difference between the first generation and second generation 2023 release they included a privacy shield, and that you can turn to block the camera from Spying on you if you are in the room with the camera. This is helpful when you are sharing access to your ring account with other individuals. The picture quality and sound quality has also improved and sharper and clearer. The color is more vibrant it has infrared night vision, and the audio is much louder and sounds much better. Overall a solid little camera to watch my entryways in my home, and an absolute score that I got them @ 40% off

The image and video quality this camera delivers is exceptional day and night. Connecting the camera to my phone was a breeze. The accompanying app is user-friendly, and it provides a smooth and lag-free live feed. I can check in on my home from anywhere with ease. The audio quality is equally remarkable. Not only can I see what’s happening, but I can also hear it clearly. One of the standout features is the camera’s ability to notify you about events in your area. It’s reassuring to stay informed about what’s happening nearby, adding an extra layer of security. The app allows you to customize the alerts to your preference.

Awesome picture and took less than 5 minute to connect, I was hesitant to buy because the cost was marked $29.99 so I figured it was a return or refurbish, but I took a chance, I figured $30.00 wouldn’t hurt me too bad and I knew I could return it, so I took the chance and wow!! am I glad I did, it’s small and the picturte is extremly clear, I placed it in our kitchen so I can see what the wife is making for dinner, which determines if I need to eat out before coming home….her meals aren’t always good…

This was very easy to install. Not a big fan of the subscription for all of the cool things that you might need. The camera is crystal clear. Works very well in the evening hours. The motion sense works exactly as it should.

The video quality is awesome ! I have the doorbell camera and I wanted to add this for extra protection it views my living area and part of my patio. It was easy to set up once I figured out how to get the little back end off to mount on my wall. Plus it was a great Black Friday deal ! I recommend

I install and troubleshoot alarm systems, and cameras for a living. Everything from basic consumer “wireless” cameras to professional CCTV systems. I love ring. They have a solid service, product line and user interface. And as far as this specific camera goes, it’s great. For $60 the fact that it’s 1080 quality and actually looks that way on the app, as well as the fact that it has almost no image delay, makes it a great addition to your ring system as a whole. My only gripe is that it has to be within 10ft of your wifi router. Ultimately you can remedy this with a wifi extender. But you shouldn’t have to. Because for that combined price, you could have just gone up a few brackets and got a higher end camera. It’s kind of cool how small the indoor 2nd gen camera is. But I would have honestly preferred if they had just put a better quality Wi-Fi module inside, and had to increase the size of the product to fit it. And yes all while keeping the same price point. It’s really not asking too much. Because depending on where you have your router, it severely limits the options for device placement. Which is going to be a make or break factor when people decide whether or not to buy this product.I hope that ring fixes this issue with their 3rd generation, if that’s something that’s in the pipeline.(UPDATE)After living with the camera for a bit I would recommend buying a third party mount for it, so you can get a better angle. At least that’s depending on how wide or long the area you’re trying to monitor is.Also the speaker is garbage. If anyone is trying to speak through the camera, good luck trying to understand them. And definitely order a longer power cord then the 6ft one it comes with if you plan on mounting it on the wall or ceiling.

I’m giving the All-new Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) a five-star rating for its impressive features and outstanding customer service. The 1080p HD video and color night vision provide clear and detailed footage, and the two-way talk feature adds an extra layer of security. The manual audio and video privacy cover are thoughtful additions, giving me control over when the camera is active.Unfortunately, my initial experience was marred by the camera breaking after less than two weeks of use. However, I must commend Jeff Bezos and the customer service team for promptly sending me a replacement. Although the replacement process didn’t offer the no-hassle drop-off at UPS, and I had to package it myself, the willingness to address the issue and send a replacement was greatly appreciated.Overall, the All-new Ring Indoor Cam is a reliable camera with excellent features, and the replacement is working flawlessly. The top-notch customer service turned a potential hiccup into a positive experience. Five stars for the camera and the outstanding support from the team!

For the price you do get what you pay for. I got this with the main goal of being able to check on my dog through out the day. The picture isn’t crystal clear, again you get what you pay for. The privacy door does work, you hear a little click when you close it. I like that the microphone and speaker can be used separately. The sound quality is very good, it has little lag time. Depending on if you purchase a Ring plan it can save the video. We leave the motion activation off just to avoid notifications all day but the live video pulls up quickly. May purchase more in the future for other areas of the house.

This camera works perfect. The only bad part to me is it delays picking up motion sometimes. I should never miss a person coming in my door. The size is small and great. Sound could be better. Beautiful appearance. I have black and love it. Great value especially when it’s on sale lol. East installation.

The camera itself is good. Setting up the device on the ring app is convenient. What stops me from giving a full 5 stars is a strange design. When I followed the guidance to mount the camera on wall, I found I could avoid kinking the cable. This doesn’t affect the functionality, but is a bit annoying…
