My previous Fire stick died suddenly after almost 4 years. The home screen only loaded half way, so I tried multiple resets, but that was it. It never worked again.I hoped this 4K fire stick would work with my old router and 1080p 240hz TV. And it does! You don’t need a 4K TV or new router to use this. This Fire stick gives a much MUCH better video quality than the old one did – even though the old one supported 1080p too. And the response rate is quicker. No problems during setup. Be prepared – multiple updates will happen before you can do anything. You will get the option to transfer most of your old fire stick settings to your new one, which is nice. The previews will be jarring and noisy again, but you can shut that off in the settings.Note that the LED is hidden beneath the plastic covering. Its there, but its invisible until you press the Alexa button. If I could change one thing – I’d make the cord longer. My TV’s power cord is not near the HDMI ports, so its a problem to get the cords to reach the same power strip, even though that strip is mounted on the TV stand. I had to use the HDMI extender just as I did with the old fire stick. The cord needs to be 6ft.

Works great, easy to setup. Comes with boosted power supply so no need to get the adapter. Apps load fast, picture quality is great. I ended up buying two of these

The fire stick is our new favorite purchase. It was very easy to install, in fact, my 12 year old set up the device on his own for me. The product comes with batteries and is very easy for all family members to use. From my 75 year old father to my non techy 10 year old, everyone has found that the fire stick is incredibly simple to use. All family members have enjoyed streaming shows and movies that pertain to their interests. Since our internet is strong and super fast, there was no buffering and we were able to see great quality images. I highly recommend purchasing the fire stick.

Easy set up. All in one remote for control of tv and sound bar as well. Fast response and good picture. Only flaw is your can’t program the shortcut buttons and I wish the remote had backlighting so you can see the small buttons.

Our original Amazon Fire Stick was running so so slow, it wouldn’t hardly load any Premium service let alone load a new App even with the Fire Stick memory completely empty. We thought our TV was too old, the memory to slow, looking towards a new TV that would play the Digital Apps, as a last ditch effort I ordered the All-new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. Amazon delivered the 4K device, setup took a little bit with updates and installing my Apps. Maybe two hours plus total time. The new Stick is the same size and physical configuration as the original. The new Remote has been redesigned, it is so much better than the original. I am so happy I ordered a new 4K Fire Stick. The same premium streaming service that wouldn’t load, constantly crashing now performs better than it did when I bought my new TV and first Fire Stick so many years ago. The TV image and sound is absolutely perfect. Large Apps load unbelievably fast, track and play quickly with no lag. The new 4K saved the $$ we were about to spend on a new TV If you are using the original Fire Stick, TV loads video slow, lagging, constantly crashing. You might want to throw in the towel and upgrade to the new 4K version. I sure am glad I did.

Interpret that how you must. We ditched cable years ago to be one of the early adopters of this beautiful piece of technology to watch our favorite shows and movies on demand, and for a much lower cost than Xfinity, Spectrum, or Cox. This new version of the firestick is an improvement over our previous three and supports ultra high definition movies. It’s simple and easy to use, and the remote is more functional. The ONLY thing I wish is that Amazon would allow the users to select which apps would appear on the remote as a quick start button (e.g., our remote has Prime Video, Netflix, DirectTV, and Peacock, but we really only actively use two of those).

Speed, 10-10 perfect. Apps load in no time, no buffering even at 4k hdr 10+.Brilliant display! With built in Dolby vision I was worried the quality would only be great with Dolby vision but the quality is amazing all around with and without.Pre loaded app are a lot but easy to remove. It says 8gb stick but mine only has less than 6gb. After initial update it has 4gb of 5.8gb remaining space. May need to look into that if it’s less than 6gb should advertise that way also.Easy to load external apk apps on with its Downloader app directly in store so you won’t miss out on the best!

I dumped Spectrum cable and switched to YouTube TV, but 2 of my TVs have built-in Chromecast but are not smart TVs. So, I opted for the Fire TV Stick instead of Roku. Everything worked great out of the box, except for the AV sync. It started out synchronized, but after a few minutes into each show, it would get out of sync. I tried the AV Sync Tuning setting, but it wouldn’t stay synchronized. I ended up changing the Surround Sound setting from “Best Available” to PCM. Now it works flawlessly. I was able to pair it with my Toshiba TV and Vizio soundbar so that I only have to fiddle with a single remote.

My first Firestick is 7 years old. It still works good but I wanted to get the upgraded version that could control my TV’s volume and power on/off functions. I’m amazed at how much faster it is now and it was super easy to install/upgrade from my Amazon account. It’s a great device!

Better than Roku. Remote is great, which allows me to control my LG sound bar as well. Navigating media content is smooth. There are many apps. I like it so far. Recommended.

Really love this so far. I’ve had it for about a month and haven’t had any of the app issues others have talked about. All of mine populated with their graphics, etc within a few hours of being installed. That wasn’t as fast as usual, but I can’t use them all at once either so I wasn’t too worried about it.I typically use this later at night in my bedroom on an LG TV that was my Mom’s. It’s a nice, larger TV that is not a smart TV and not connected to cable either so I really wasn’t sure how this would perform. It hasn’t let me down yet. And I’m very familiar with Amazon products. This is my 3rd Fire Stick and I also have a 42” Fire TV. It responds quickly, doesn’t lag during streaming (which is all I use it for) and I have only had to reboot it once.My biggest complaint about this remote is that they didn’t add the light up in the dark option like they did when they upgraded the other stand alone version. What gives with that Amazon?? And I’m fairly certain this one costs more too (I think that remote is $39??). I understand this one is also a Fire Stick, but shouldn’t that mean is going to better?? More bang for your buck type thing. That’s my logic at least ;-)Boo is all I can say to that. And double boo for removing Hulu off the bottom and adding Direct TV/Peacock. And there’s no extra button to add your own. Yes, I can ask Alexa to do it. I just don’t want to. I’d rather have my button back…but I’ll deal.11/11/23 Updated: I’m adding this as it has begun to wear on my last nerve recently. I stream on my Fire TV ALL the time right now as I broke my ankle. A couple hours before I go to sleep I lay in bed continuing to watch whatever was on. Problem being is that when I go to launch the show from the “continue watching” it is NEVER in the right spot anymore! And I’m talking the completely wrong season even with plenty of time allowed for it to update itself once I’ve shut off my Fire TV. Paramount+ is the biggest culprit of this recently. And then you may not even find it in the programs listed. I use my subscription via Prime because the PP app is wonky and I’m not paying Paramount for a sketchy app. Soooo I then have to go to the search feature and look the damn thing up…UGH!! Really?!? Please run an update and make my 11-12pm more pleasant…PLEASE!!! Yes, I know this sounds petty and maybe even stupid to some, but it’s inconvenient and not what I paid for. I’m also seriously impatient w/a squirrel brain. So there’s that…

Kept having lagging issues and even bought a new mesh system for my house. I had older fire sticks and the remote quit working so I bought a 4k one and it fixed all my issues. Streaming is super fast and picture quality is even better. No I don’t have 4k tv and it still worked. Couldn’t access paramount plus for past 6 months and this device fixed that too. I’m replacing all my old firesticks with the 4k, love it!! Highly recommended! Yes it gives you the option to transfer old apps to the new one so you won’t loose anything from your old firestick
